# KIPTV vs Bamboo Player

The clearest difference is rating: Bamboo Player at 5.0 against KIPTV's 4.6. Bamboo Player also leads on iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). KIPTV's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KIPTV sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month and Bamboo Player sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Bamboo Player holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: KIPTV has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 50% and 50% positive.

KIPTV ships an update every 6 days, Bamboo Player weekly. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
