# Unpilot vs DoomShield

The clearest difference is ads: Unpilot at none against DoomShield's shown. DoomShield's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Unpilot sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year and DoomShield sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Unpilot ships an update every 2 weeks, DoomShield every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
