# MEGACY vs Throughline

The clearest difference is monetization model: Throughline at freemium against MEGACY's subscription. MEGACY's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MEGACY sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month and Throughline sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for MEGACY against 5.0 for Throughline. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 3 respectively.

MEGACY ships an update every 5 weeks, Throughline every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
