# Nex File vs Fold

The clearest difference is rating: Fold at 5.0 against Nex File's 3.8. Nex File's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (13 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nex File sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and Fold sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fold holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nex File has 13 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
