# Steppps vs Walktide

The clearest difference is monetization model: Walktide at free against Steppps's free with in-app purchases. Walktide also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Steppps sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Walktide sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Steppps against 5.0 for Walktide. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 4 respectively.

Steppps ships an update fortnightly, Walktide every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
