# Scroll The Bible vs Scripture First

The clearest difference is monetization model: Scroll The Bible at free with in-app purchases against Scripture First's subscription. Scroll The Bible also leads on review sentiment (63% vs 33%) and ratings volume (17K vs 71). Scripture First's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scroll The Bible sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Scripture First sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Scroll The Bible against 4.8 for Scripture First. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scroll The Bible has 17K ratings behind it against 71, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 63% of Scroll The Bible's written reviews are positive against 33% of Scripture First's.

Scroll The Bible ships an update every 9 days, Scripture First every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
