# VPNET vs Freeborn

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Freeborn at 70% against VPNET's 19%. VPNET's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 3.2). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VPNET holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 10 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 19% of VPNET's written reviews are positive against 70% of Freeborn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPNET ships an update fortnightly, Freeborn every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
