# VPNET vs VPN

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VPNET at none against VPN's 3. VPN's advantage is review sentiment (40% vs 19%) and update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. VPNET asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for VPNET against 4.0 for VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 174 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 19% of VPNET's written reviews are positive against 40% of VPN's.

VPNET ships an update fortnightly, VPN every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
