# Letters vs Stoic

The clearest difference is update cadence: Stoic at every 6 days against Letters's every 2 weeks. Letters's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Letters sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Stoic sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Letters ships an update every 2 weeks, Stoic every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
