# SeeWow vs HookFlix

The clearest difference is update cadence: HookFlix at every 5 days against SeeWow's every 3 months. SeeWow's advantage is iOS requirement (12 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SeeWow sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.90 per 7 days and HookFlix sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SeeWow ships an update every 3 months, HookFlix every 5 days. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
