# Devret vs Barcode

The clearest difference is update cadence: Barcode at every 4 days against Devret's every 4 months. Devret's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Devret ships an update every 4 months, Barcode every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
