# SubPulse vs Mr. Drum

The clearest difference is ads: SubPulse at none against Mr. Drum's shown. Mr. Drum's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SubPulse sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year and Mr. Drum sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SubPulse ships an update every 3 months, Mr. Drum every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
