# X vs Hand Control

The clearest difference is rating: X at 4.3 against Hand Control's 2.5. X also leads on update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (488 vs 75). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. X sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days and Hand Control sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

X holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: X has 488 ratings behind it against 75, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of X's written reviews are positive against 4% of Hand Control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

X ships an update weekly, Hand Control fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
