# Gut vs Edicek

The clearest difference is update cadence: Gut at every 9 days against Edicek's every 3 weeks. Edicek's advantage is device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Gut sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Edicek sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gut ships an update every 9 days, Edicek every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
