# Ultmap vs Tribes

The clearest difference is ads: Ultmap at none against Tribes's shown. Tribes's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ultmap ships an update every 2 weeks, Tribes every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
