# SpendSnap vs NomadMetrics

The clearest difference is update cadence: NomadMetrics at every 3 days against SpendSnap's every 2 months. NomadMetrics also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium). SpendSnap's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SpendSnap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and NomadMetrics sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for SpendSnap against 5.0 for NomadMetrics. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SpendSnap has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

SpendSnap ships an update every 2 months, NomadMetrics every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
