# SwimHub vs BolTimer

The clearest difference is update cadence: BolTimer at every 2 days against SwimHub's every 3 weeks. SwimHub's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SwimHub sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and BolTimer sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SwimHub ships an update every 3 weeks, BolTimer every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
