# WalkBlock vs LOCKR

The clearest difference is review sentiment: WalkBlock at 83% against LOCKR's 19%. WalkBlock also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). LOCKR's advantage is ratings volume (327 vs 36) and iOS requirement (16.2 vs 18.5). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WalkBlock sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and LOCKR sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WalkBlock holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LOCKR has 327 ratings behind it against 36, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 83% of WalkBlock's written reviews are positive against 19% of LOCKR's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
