# Light Signals vs Kinly

The clearest difference is ads: Kinly at none against Light Signals's shown. Kinly also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.1). Light Signals's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Light Signals sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Kinly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Light Signals ships an update every 9 days, Kinly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
