# BFF Messenger vs Chatta

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chatta at none against BFF Messenger's 6. BFF Messenger's advantage is ratings volume (17 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BFF Messenger sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Chatta asks for nothing beyond the download.

BFF Messenger holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BFF Messenger has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
