# Countdown Widget vs Birdy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Countdown Widget at every 9 days against Birdy's every 3 weeks. Birdy's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Widget sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Birdy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown Widget ships an update every 9 days, Birdy every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
