# Void vs The Comp Desk

The clearest difference is update cadence: The Comp Desk at weekly against Void's every 2 months. The Comp Desk also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17). Void's advantage is monetization model (free vs freemium). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Void sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and The Comp Desk sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $99.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Void against 5.0 for The Comp Desk. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 6 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Void ships an update every 2 months, The Comp Desk weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
