# WorkBuddy App vs Codex AI

The clearest difference is rating: WorkBuddy App at 5.0 against Codex AI's 4.7. WorkBuddy App also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17). Codex AI's advantage is ratings volume (74 vs 3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WorkBuddy App sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Codex AI sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

WorkBuddy App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Codex AI has 74 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

WorkBuddy App ships an update every 2 weeks, Codex AI weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
