# ValueCalm vs Fieldnote

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fieldnote at every 4 days against ValueCalm's every 2 months. ValueCalm's advantage is ratings volume (4 vs 1) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ValueCalm sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Fieldnote sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for ValueCalm against 5.0 for Fieldnote. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 1 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

ValueCalm ships an update every 2 months, Fieldnote every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
