# PuttView vs ShotTrail

The clearest difference is update cadence: ShotTrail at every 5 days against PuttView's fortnightly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PuttView sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and ShotTrail sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PuttView ships an update fortnightly, ShotTrail every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
