# Side Search vs SnapClock

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Side Search at none against SnapClock's 1. SnapClock's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 days) and iOS requirement (17.5 vs 27.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SnapClock sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Side Search asks for nothing beyond the download.

Side Search ships an update every 6 days, SnapClock every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
