# Pæan vs ScrollShield

The clearest difference is ads: ScrollShield at none against Pæan's shown. Pæan's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pæan sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and ScrollShield sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pæan ships an update every 2 days, ScrollShield every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
