# Electric Pants vs Flat RSS

The clearest difference is monetization model: Electric Pants at free against Flat RSS's freemium. On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Electric Pants sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Flat RSS sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Electric Pants ships an update every 9 days, Flat RSS every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on September 14, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
