# FableShort vs Gistbox

The clearest difference is ads: Gistbox at none against FableShort's shown. FableShort's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FableShort sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per 7 days and Gistbox sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for FableShort against 5.0 for Gistbox. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 2 respectively.

FableShort ships an update every 5 days, Gistbox every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
