# Sip vs BrewJournal

The clearest difference is update cadence: BrewJournal at every 2 days against Sip's monthly. BrewJournal also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sip sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BrewJournal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Sip ships an update monthly, BrewJournal every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 9, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
