# YardHopper vs Yard Beacon

The clearest difference is ads: Yard Beacon at none against YardHopper's shown. YardHopper's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. YardHopper sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Yard Beacon sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

YardHopper ships an update every 4 days, Yard Beacon monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
