# Rolla vs TrainTracker App

The clearest difference is rating: Rolla at 5.0 against TrainTracker App's 4.6. Rolla also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). TrainTracker App's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 weeks) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Rolla holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TrainTracker App has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Rolla ships an update every 4 weeks, TrainTracker App every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
