# Journal vs Bodha

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bodha at every 2 days against Journal's every 5 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Journal sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Bodha sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Journal ships an update every 5 days, Bodha every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
