# BlockIt vs Blocus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: BlockIt at 65% against Blocus's 9%. BlockIt also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5). Blocus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (226 vs 15). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BlockIt sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Blocus sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BlockIt holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Blocus has 226 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of BlockIt's written reviews are positive against 9% of Blocus's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
