# Screen time control vs Reset

The clearest difference is monetization model: Screen time control at free with in-app purchases against Reset's subscription. Screen time control also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Reset's advantage is ratings volume (163 vs 10) and update cadence (every 3 days vs weekly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen time control sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and Reset sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen time control holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Reset has 163 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Screen time control ships an update weekly, Reset every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
