# Text to Speech vs Lector

The clearest difference is device support: Text to Speech at 3 against Lector's 1. Text to Speech also leads on iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Text to Speech sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Lector sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
