# FlockView vs Rule Referee

The clearest difference is update cadence: FlockView at every 5 days against Rule Referee's monthly. FlockView also leads on ratings volume (5 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlockView sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month and Rule Referee sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for FlockView against 5.0 for Rule Referee. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlockView has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FlockView ships an update every 5 days, Rule Referee monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
