# 小码盒 vs Codex Relay

The clearest difference is rating: Codex Relay at 4.2 against 小码盒's 3.0. Codex Relay also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 6 weeks). 小码盒's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 63%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 小码盒 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Codex Relay asks for nothing beyond the download.

Codex Relay holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Codex Relay has 56 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of 小码盒's written reviews are positive against 63% of Codex Relay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

小码盒 ships an update every 6 weeks, Codex Relay every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
