# InstantLog vs SmartAlbum Pro

The clearest difference is rating: InstantLog at 5.0 against SmartAlbum Pro's 1.0. SmartAlbum Pro's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (14.5 vs 17.0). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. InstantLog sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SmartAlbum Pro sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InstantLog ships an update every 2 months, SmartAlbum Pro every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
