# CTRL vs Typr

The clearest difference is rating: Typr at 5.0 against CTRL's 3.7. Typr also leads on monetization model (freemium vs subscription) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.6). CTRL's advantage is ratings volume (12 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CTRL sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per 7 days and Typr sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Typr holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CTRL has 12 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
