# Readex vs BridgeReader

The clearest difference is update cadence: Readex at every 2 days against BridgeReader's every 3 weeks. Readex also leads on device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.5 vs 17.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Readex sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and BridgeReader sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Readex ships an update every 2 days, BridgeReader every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
