# Inkwell vs Amazing Notes

The clearest difference is update cadence: Inkwell at every 4 weeks against Amazing Notes's every 2 months. Inkwell also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inkwell sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Amazing Notes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $15.00 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Inkwell ships an update every 4 weeks, Amazing Notes every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
