# Instant Jot vs Fragments

The clearest difference is ads: Instant Jot at none against Fragments's shown. Instant Jot also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.2). Fragments's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 11 days). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Instant Jot sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fragments sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Instant Jot ships an update every 11 days, Fragments every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
