# GemNote vs Habit Tracker

The clearest difference is update cadence: Habit Tracker at every 6 days against GemNote's every 3 weeks. Habit Tracker also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GemNote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Habit Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GemNote ships an update every 3 weeks, Habit Tracker every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
