# Simple Cycle vs Vela

The clearest difference is iOS requirement: Simple Cycle at 15.0 against Vela's 17.0. On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Simple Cycle sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Vela sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Simple Cycle ships an update every 3 months, Vela every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
