# Ascend vs PathQuest

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ascend at every 4 days against PathQuest's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ascend sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and PathQuest sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ascend ships an update every 4 days, PathQuest every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
