# worlds vs hodgepodge

The clearest difference is rating: hodgepodge at 4.9 against worlds's 4.0. hodgepodge also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ads (none vs shown). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. worlds sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. hodgepodge asks for nothing beyond the download.

hodgepodge holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: hodgepodge has 28 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of worlds's written reviews are positive against 95% of hodgepodge's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
