# Family Tree Tool vs Co

The clearest difference is update cadence: Co at every 11 days against Family Tree Tool's monthly. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Family Tree Tool sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Co sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Family Tree Tool ships an update monthly, Co every 11 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
