# MOG vs MogScan

The clearest difference is review sentiment: MOG at 100% against MogScan's 50%. MOG also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). MogScan's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MOG sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and MogScan sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MogScan holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 9 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of MOG's written reviews are positive against 50% of MogScan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MOG ships an update every 8 days, MogScan weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
