# Raft Evolution vs Slingshot Ride

The clearest difference is update cadence: Slingshot Ride at weekly against Raft Evolution's every 2 months. Slingshot Ride also leads on ratings volume (95 vs 2) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Raft Evolution's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Raft Evolution sells 9 one-off in-app purchases and Slingshot Ride sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Raft Evolution against 4.6 for Slingshot Ride. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slingshot Ride has 95 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Raft Evolution ships an update every 2 months, Slingshot Ride weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
